The Boston Mills Artfest is a nationally recognized fine art and fine craft show. Since 1971, Artfest has been held at Boston Mills Ski Resort, nestled in the scenic national park, midway between Cleveland and Akron. This year, we are proud to celebrate 40 years of bringing fine art and fine craft to Northeast Ohio!
Artfest consists of two separate shows held on consecutive weekends. A Preview Night is held each weekend so that Artfest patrons can purchase art while sampling wines and hors d'oeuvres.

Rock-paper-scissors (also known as scissors-paper-stone, jan-ken-pon, rochambeau or ching-chang-wulla),is a popular two-person hand game often used as a selection method in a similar way to coin flipping or drawing straws. However, unlike truly random selections, it can be played with skill if the game extends over many sessions, as a player can often recognize and exploit the non-random behavior of an opponent. Rock (represented by a clenched fist) breaks or blunts scissors. Paper (represented by an open hand with the fingers extended parallel to the ground) covers rock. Scissors (represented by the index and middle fingers extended and separated like a peace sign on its side) cut paper.
The artists of Rock-Paper-Scissors have been given this title as a theme. Their interpretations of it will range from conceptual ideas inspired by the title to the very literal use of its materials or images.

For those who love to browse through sophisticated fine art while strolling down a wooded path, there's no better way to spend a summer weekend than at the Cain Park Arts Festival in mid-July. The Arts Festival accepts artwork of a quality found in an art museum or fine art gallery. Since its inception in the late 1970's, the Cain Park Arts Festival has grown to a three-day event, rated one of the top in the country, that matches 60,000-65,000 art patrons with over 150 professional artists in a beautiful park setting.
In addition to a wide variety of entertainment offered all three days in the Evans Amphitheater, special children's concerts are also scheduled in the intimate Alma Theater. Gourmet restaurants and caterers offer food concessions throughout the weekend in the covered picnic areas surrounding the Evans Amphitheater.
